Welcome back to drug talk everybody in today’s article I want to quickly go over three things you should be aware of before using konopin or clonazepam number one when you start using clonopin there’s a chance you could experience drowsiness or sedation is typically only seen in doses over 0.5 to 1 milligrams but it’s not seen in all individuals the main takeaway Point here is that you shouldn’t do things like drive a car or operate heavy machinery until you’ve been taking clonopin long enough to know how it makes you feel
patients should also be cautioned not to use clono pin with alcohol as it may increase the risk of sedation it should also be noted that although some patients do use Klonopin for Sleep based on physician clinical experience insomnia is not an official FDA indication of clonopin number two there are Black Box warnings associated with clonopin these are warnings associated with benzodiazepines which is the class of medication that clonopin falls into the use of benzodiazepines with opioids may result in profound sedation
respiratory depression coma or death so we should always reserve the prescribing of both of these entities together only to patients whose alternative treatments were inadequate we always want to make sure to limit the dosage and duration of use to the minimum time requires and always follow up with patients to monitor for signs of respiratory depression or sedation also the use of benzodiazepines including Klonopin may put a patient at risk of abuse misuse or addiction these scenarios can sometimes lead to overdose or death it should be

of this video and number three if you use Klonopin consistently for a prolonged period of time you may experience withdrawal symptoms upon on discontinuation because of this the drug should not be stopped suddenly or without support and guidance from a medical professional some symptoms of withdrawal may include nausea headaches or Tremors sweating hallucinations and dizziness are possibilities as well anxiety depression or seizures there are three main phases of benzodiazepine withdrawal early withdrawal acute
withdrawal and late withdrawal because Klonopin is a benzodiazepine with long Half-Life we typically wouldn’t see withdrawal symptoms until one to three days after the medication is discontinued acute withdrawal symptoms May Peak after two weeks of stopping Klonopin however some subtle withdrawal symptoms May persist for a week to month after and that’s it for three things you should know about Klonopin or clonazepam take care, Good Bye
